We start with two types of pasta - festive, multicolor Trombette as well as traditional Trottoloni ("spinning tops"). Then we add two classic sauces as well - pesto alla Genovese and sugo di pomodoro. Of course, what would a great italian meal be with wine? We've added a bottle of Banfi Col di Sasso, a Tuscan wine that is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon cultivated on the rocky slopes of the Banfi estate in Montalcino. It goes beautifully with pasta. And for dessert, some all natural, twice-baked Almond Anise Biscotti. Molto bene!
