If you've tried pineapple chiffon pie, but have never made it, you're in for a real treat. The recipe itself is pretty simple, so don't waste any time, try it yourself! And if it doesn't turn out just how you want, well, you can always order cookies... Ingredients: 3 tablespoons cornstarch 2 cups pineapple juice 1 cup sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 2 cups crushed pineapple 4 egg whites A baked pie shell Directions: Mix the cornstarch with a little pineapple juice until smooth. And who knows, maybe when you're done you'll be writing us with a wonderful recipe for mincemeat cookies! Yeah, or maybe not. 1 qt. mincemeat 1 granny smith apple, cored and chopped but not peeled Pie crust Egg Wash: 1 egg, beaten with 3 tablespoons of water Combine the mincemeat pie filling with the apple and place in the bottom of the pie crust. Spread out evenly.Cut 1/2 inch strips out of the remaining dough and lay over the filling in a lattice design. Brush lattice strips with the egg wash. Rare to find, but great to enjoy; this recipe is definitely one to try. Pastry: 2 cups flour 1 egg 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4  lb. butter 1/2 cup sugar 2 tbs. sherry Sift together flour, sugar, and salt. Beat egg lightly. Blend all ingredients with butter in deep bowl. Gradually add enough sherry to form firm pastry. Roll in circular piece about 1/8 inches thick to fit 9 or 10 inch pie plate. With this easy basic crust recipe, you'll have no worries. Ingredients: 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 cup margarine 1/2 cup Crisco 1 egg 1 tbsp. white vinegar 3 to 4 tbsp. ice water Directions: Making pie crust is much like making cookies. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in the margarine and shortening.
