When it comes to choosing the perfect Christmas or birthday gift for the woman in your life, think about her interests and pay attention to the hints that she will surely drop along the way in November and December for Christmas (and you'll get extra brownie points if you can remember something she mentioned last spring). Here are some inexpensive gifts for the woman who has everything.
We know perfume is the perfect romantic gift right? Every woman has a select few scents or fragrances to define her but how can we choose just the right one? One of our favorite gifts to receive is something new or hot or trendy so why not stock up on the latest arrival of designer scents? Perhaps sultry is in or florals are the new thing?
Not sure what she likes? Take a walk by one of those delicious smelling fragrance stores in the mall the next time you take her out for ice cream and take note of the scents that make her swoon. Two birds, one stone *wink wink*
Spa or Aromatherapy Basket
What woman wouldn't love a little pampering? Honestly, I would be thrilled to receive a spa gift basket for Christmas. In fact, we bought all the women that work for my husband's company spa gift baskets for the last couple years. We also threw in a gift card for a massage at a local spa... they were thrilled!
Choose a scent for the bath and body products in the basket that the woman in your life will enjoy. Some popular choices are lavender, vanilla, or jasmine. These is an easy gift that everyone will enjoy!
Pair of Earrings
Delicate or demure, dazzling or classic? Finding the right jewelry can sometimes be challenging but we can always add to our collection of accessories. Earrings are the perfect gift because we all wear them and can never have too many. Find a pair that is hand-made or have a designer stamp.
Nothing says, "I pay attention to you" like birth stones. Striking blue tanzanite set in white gold, the red of ruby in a silver setting, green emerald bringing out the color in her eyes; she'll be looking at herself in the mirror because of the deliciousness on her ears.
Fresh Floral Bouquet
When you live in Minnesota, you start dreaming about the scent and beauty of fresh flowers around November 1st when the first snowfall usually occurs. As I look out the window today at a snow-covered backyard, I envision my beautiful perennial garden that once filled the space last summer. Gardeners such as me would be thrilled to receive a big bouquet of fresh flowers for the holidays. Amaryllis, paper-whites, and bouquets featuring a red, white, and green color scheme are unique Christmas gift options.
Pendant or Necklace
Similar to a great pair of earrings is the perfect necklace. We all have a special soft spot for jewelry in general because there is something so delicate and intimate about wearing it, especially close to the heart. We absolutely love an original or unique piece such as an artisan styled pendant or statement necklace we can showcase proudly.
A beautiful necklace is always a great gift for a woman. Decide if rose gold, silver, or gold is most her style and go from there. A heart-shaped pendant is a no-fail gift for that special woman in your life. Consider her personal preferences and style when picking out the perfect one for her.
She may not be 12 anymore but charm bracelets are full of just that, charm. This can be an ongoing gift she can build, where you gift a charm for each occasion. Start out with a couple on already, including her favorite hobbies, travel locations, and any special memorabilia the two of you share. She will love the sentiment in this special gift!
So my mouth is watering just reading what is included in a typical chocolate gift basket. Give the women in your life a little chocolate bliss... many gift baskets include chocolate truffles, chocolate bars and chocolate covered cashews.
Purse or Tote Bag
Women are all different in many ways but one thing we have in common is our love of accessories, especially purses and bags. A tote is a no-fail gift for a woman. They can use them for just about anything in there life. They may just sometimes be black holes but there's nothing better than a bag that can hold two bottles of wine; add in a couple bottles to complete this the perfect gift. She will be one happy girl.
Gifts For The Garden Lover
If the woman on your gift loves to get her hands dirty and has a green thumb, then you can't go wrong with a gardening gift basket that is full of tools that she can use in her garden and goodies that she can enjoy while she is kicking back looking at her handy work. Whether she grows perennials, annuals, or vegetables, she'll love that you know her oh so well and bought a gift right up her alley!
Nothing says luxury like a hand-selected scarf. They come in so many textures and patterned varieties they are as fun as accessories can get. There are so many options when it comes to scarves from soft cashmere fabrics to classic designer prints. this is the type of gift we love to receive because we don't often buy them ourselves and it's always fun to get something new we most likely don't already own.
Talk about inexpensive gifts for women! A scarf is an easy accessory that every woman loves. Get her a big chunky scarf to keep warm in winter, or get her a colorful pretty patterned one for spring and summer. Try picking one out in her favorite color!
Basket or Box of Organic Fruit
Healthy living means eating healthy too! More and more people are going organic... especially when it comes to produce. If the woman on your gift list is a health enthusiast, then one of the best gift options is a fruit basket overflowing with organically grown fresh apples, pears, oranges, etc.It also makes a great gift for an office or family depending on the size of the basket you choose.
Gourmet Cookie Flowers
A great alternative to a traditional flower bouquet that lasts only several days, cookie bouquets come in all shapes and sizes so you can tailor the gift to what she likes. Choose from red roses, birthday presents, snowman-shaped cookies and more.
Another option is to buy gourmet cookies in a gift box where you can get cut-out cookies along with a traditional cookie assortment such as chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin. If she has a sweet tooth like me, she'll enjoy this gift!
Cookie Gifts for Women
When you ask a woman friend or family member what she wants for her birthday, Christmas, or other occasions, it is likely she will say, “Oh nothing!” While she means to be polite, this is an incredibly unhelpful answer! You can’t let special days and events pass unnoticed, but don’t worry, we have the answer: cookies. Sometimes inexpensive gifts for the woman who has everything speak louder than words.
A lovely cookie basket is a great way to tell her how special she is and how much you appreciate her. Spas now offer all kinds of different treatments to help one relax and look beautiful. Facials, pedicures, waxing, and massages are just a few of the ways to indulge the sense. You can make specialty spa gift baskets yourself to give to your friends or wife for a special treat. Find a nice ceramic container and place a few spa products inside so she can get some pampering at home.
Consider adding a gel eye mask, manicure set, a loofah, and some bath salts to your gift. For a real surprise, arrange for a local masseuse to come to her house to give her a massage right in her home. Spa Finder is a great resource for finding a local establishment if you are not familiar with the area where she lives. Alternatively, a gift certificate for a message at a local spa in her area is certain to be a relaxing hit!
Scented Gift Baskets
Did you know that smell is the most important sense for triggering memories? The pleasing smells of flowers are often associated with fond memories, and the scented lotions and gels of bath gift baskets can trigger your brain to relax and help you escape to a calmer and more peaceful place.
Lavender, gardenia, and rose are popular fragrances that have pleasing aromas. The variety of bath products has expanded recently, so in addition to traditional products like lotion and shampoo, you can also buy body spray, bath beads, and scented soap.
Scrapbook Gift Baskets
Scrapbooking has become a very popular hobby for women, with the advent of companies like Creative Memories. If you know someone who likes scrapbooking, they are sure to appreciate the artistic style of a scrapbook gift basket using some new supplies for their craft. A re-usable tote would make a great container, and inside you could put specialty scissors like a scallop-cut design, photo mounting squares, paper, and archive safe paper and pens. If you have a memorable photo of the two of you together, you could use the new supplies to create a fancy matte and include the framed photo in your gift basket.

Gardening Gift Baskets
If you can hand deliver your gift, try this for a truly unique and memorable gardening gift basket. Start with a ceramic flower pot, or buy a new terra cotta pot and paint it yourself. Fill your flower pot with potting soil and "plant" her gifts right in the dirt on top. Pack the soil tight so your gifts will stand up, and insert seed packets, some small tools, and a few snacks.
Finish off your flower pot with some garden decorations, like a little "Welcome to My Garden" sign. She can re-use the pot to plant the seeds, and leave the garden decoration right in the pot as a reminder of your thoughtfulness.
Gift Basket for Women
Creating gift baskets for women is easy. The most popular themes are bath/spa, gardening and gourmet food gifts, but you can use whatever theme works best for her likes and dislikes. Other themes could be created around her favorite animals (dogs, cats, horses, etc.), or her hobbies (knitting, tennis, family tree research, scrapbooking etc.).
You can mix in themed items with food she enjoys, and make sure you wrap it nicely and put a big bow on top. You'll get extra credit if you make it yourself, so think about what she loves and get creative! And don't forget a sentimental note or card!
